This holiday season, the International School of Bucharest joined hands with Fundatia Tuna for the Christmas Wish List Charity Campaign, and we are beyond moved by the overwhelming generosity of our ISB family. Together, we’ve brought joy and hope to children from orphanages, schools for children with disabilities, and underprivileged communities.
From heartfelt letters to beautifully wrapped gifts, your kindness illuminated their holidays in the most meaningful way. On behalf of the ISB team, the Tuna Foundation, and all the children whose wishes were fulfilled, thank you for opening your hearts and spreading joy this festive season.
Unforgettable Moments in the Field
Our team of ISB “elves,” accompanied by teachers and volunteers, delivered gifts to children in Mitreni, Clătesti, Frumusani and the Children’s Educational Center with CES in Oltenița. Every step of the journey was filled with emotion and unforgettable moments.
“Delivering gifts to children from disadvantaged environments together with ISB teachers, volunteers, and Tuna Foundation was a very emotional experience,” shared Diana Vasilescu, an ISB parent and PTA member. “The children were excited to have their Christmas wishes fulfilled, to see Santa and his helpers, and to sing or recite poems. Their pure joy made us part of their celebration. It was a day to remember for all of us.”
Students Making an Impact
The experience also left a deep impact on our students, including Emilia Oleinic (12O), who shared:
“În Frumușani, the kids were so happy to sing to us and craved affection. Hugging them, talking, and laughing with them were genuine and special moments. Their excitement and gratitude were evident on their faces. It was a wonderful experience where I learned that every small contribution to help the needy is important and can make a difference in their lives.”
