After School - International School of Bucharest

After School Program

The After School Program at the International School of Bucharest provides a safe, structured, and enriching environment for students from 3:15PM (3.40PM on Wednesdays) to 5:30 PM , Monday through Friday. The program includes a variety of activities such as homework assistance, recreational activities, arts and crafts, and supervised play. Participation in the programme is optional and requires payment by parents or guardians.

Enrollment

Eligibility: The programme is open to all currently enrolled students at ISB except FS0.
Enrollment Process: Parents or guardians must complete an enrollment form and emergency contact information prior to the student’s participation in the program.

Program Schedule

● 15:15-16:15 First Session
● 16:15-16:30 Break & Snack Time
● 16:30-17:30 Second Session
● 17:30 -18:00 Extended Supervision. There will be supervision until 18:00 when needed.

Activities

Some activities included in the ISB After School Programme will be:

○ Homework support
○ Academic enrichment, supporting numeracy, literacy, life skills
○ Watching educational videos, reading time and leisure activities
○ Art & Craft activities.

Snack

School will provide snacks but students can bring their own

Pick-Up and Lateness

Pick-Up Time: All students must be picked up by 5:30 PM.
Authorized Pick-Up: Only individuals listed on the student’s enrollment form will be permitted to pick up the student. Identification may be required. Please inform the After School Coordinator in case the pick up person is changed.
Repeated late pick-ups will result in removal from the afterschool program.

Behaviour and Discipline

Code of Conduct: Students are expected to follow the same behaviour guidelines as during regular school hours.
Disciplinary Actions: Inappropriate behaviour will result in the following steps:

○ First Incident: Verbal warning and notification to parents.
○ Second Incident: Written warning and meeting with parents.
○ Third Incident: Suspension from the program for a determined period.

Safety and Emergency Procedures

Supervision: Students will be supervised by qualified staff members at all times.
Emergency Contacts: Parents must provide up-to-date emergency contact information.
Health and Safety: All health and safety protocols of ISB apply to the programme,
including but not limited to procedures for handling illnesses, injuries, and emergency
evacuations.

Fees

● Parents who would like their child(ren) enroll in after school program will be required to pay the necessary fees.
● Total fee per year is 2250 Euro per child. This includes extended supervision and snacks.
● No refunds will be accepted for any cancellations as preparation will be done accordingly.
