The Eco Committee is excited to announce our Clothes, Books, Accessories, and Toys Swap Extravaganza — a unique opportunity to inspire our community to rethink waste and embrace sustainability. The event will be held on Wednesday, 22nd January 2025, during Enrichment Time, in the gallery.
Starting Monday, 13th January, we invite students to bring in gently used clothes, books, accessories, and toys to trade for new-to-them treasures. Donations will be accepted until the day before the event, Tuesday, 21st January. Items can be dropped off with Ms Dana or Ms Monica I. In exchange for each donation, participants will receive eco vouchers, which can be used to select items during the swap.
Exciting Highlights!
- A chance to trade pre-loved items for something new-to-you while reducing waste.
- All participants will be entered into a small raffle with eco-friendly prizes to win!
- Any unsold items will be donated to a local charity, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
How It Works:
- Clean out your room: Bring gently used clothes and accessories, books or toys that you no longer need but are still in great condition.
- Swap and Shop: Exchange your items for eco vouchers and discover new-to-you treasures. Then use your eco vouchers to get a new piece of clothing, book, toy or accessory. It’s a sustainable way to update your style!
- Good for the Planet: Reduce fashion waste and give your clothes or accessories a second life. Let’s make fashion more sustainable together. Give life to a new toy and enjoy reading new books!
This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Recycling Week while teaching our students the importance of sustainability and community.
