Last weekend, our school had the pleasure of hosting the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Assessor and Supervisor Course, bringing together two full days of learning, collaboration and preparation for future adventures with our students, and people from 11 different institutions from Bucharest, Brașov, Piatra Neamț and Sfântu Gheorghe.
The training offered a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills, exchange ideas and collaborate with teachers from other schools, some of whom were DofE Award holders themselves. Through discussions, shared experiences and practical activities, participants explored how to support students throughout their DofE journeys and help them make the most of this rewarding experience.
The course also included a half-day of putting the Adventurous Journey (AJ) planning skills into practice. Working in teams, participants designed plans and prepared for a treasure hunt at the National Village Museum. With sunny weather on our side, the outdoor activity was a wonderful way to put theory into practice while enjoying teamwork, problem-solving and the spirit of adventure that makes DofE so special.
We are particularly proud to celebrate the successful completion of the course by Mrs Florentina Murteza and Miss Humeyra Akyol, two new members of our school’s DofE team!
Congratulations to both of you, and welcome to the assessor team! We wish you the very best of luck as you embark on new adventures with our students, helping them discover their potential, build confidence and create unforgettable memories along the way.
A special thank you to Mrs Carmen Dragomir and Mrs Andra Mare for being such wonderful trainers throughout these two days. Their guidance, enthusiasm and support made the training a valuable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Here’s to many exciting journeys ahead!
