30 October | 9:00 am – 11:30am
As part of our 30th Anniversary year, we are delighted to invite parents to join us for a series of special Open Days organised at the school.
Join our first Open Day on 30th October — an opportunity to discover more about learning at ISB, connect with our teachers and counsellors, and enjoy a special school celebration together.
The morning will bring together two important aspects of life at ISB: community and learning. Parents will have the opportunity to enjoy our Halloween Costume Parade, take part in practical Workshops led by our specialist teachers and counsellors and explore the school.
Halloween Costume Parade
The Open Morning begins at 9:00 am, with a Holloween Costume Parade. You will and experience the energy and creativity of the ISB community.
Workshops for Parents
From 9:30 am, parents can choose from three engaging 30-minute workshops, running simultaneously. The sessions have been designed to offer practical ideas and insights that parents can take home and use to support their children.
Parents will also have the flexibility to rotate between sessions, allowing them to experience different areas of learning and well-being at ISB.
- Teaching English to Multilingual Students
Melissa Rae Green, Deputy Head of Primary School
Discover how ISB supports multilingual students as they develop their English language skills and confidence. This workshop will provide parents with an insight into the approaches and strategies used to support children learning English in a multilingual school environment.

- Maths at ISB and How You Can Help at Home
Daniella Diovisalvi, Year 2 Teacher and Maths Coordinator in Primary School
How can parents support their children with maths at home without simply doing the homework for them?
In this practical session, Daniella will revisit the key concepts of White Rose Maths, particularly for new parents and those who were unable to attend last year’s workshop. She will also share practical ideas for supporting children who may be struggling with their homework, as well as ways to revise and practise maths concepts at home that complement what children are learning at school.
- Big Feelings, Strong Minds: Supporting Motivation and Emotional Regulation
Dariana Neacsu and Andreea Constantinescu, Primary School Counsellors
Every child experiences big emotions, and every parent knows how challenging those moments can be. In this workshop, our Primary School Counsellors will explore why children can struggle with their feelings and motivation and share simple, practical strategies that parents can use at home.
Parents will leave with ideas to help their children stay calm, build resilience and develop the motivation to keep trying — strategies that can be put into practice straight away.
School tour
School Tour and Q&A from 11:00 led by members of our Admissions Department together with representatives from the Students’ Council.
This will be an opportunity to explore the school environment, meet members of our community and gain an insight into the experiences of our students.
Join us on 30 October to discover, learn and celebrate with the ISB community. We look forward to welcoming you!
