The International School of Bucharest is a non-profit day school providing a British style of education for children aged 2 to 19 years in Bucharest, Romania’s capital city. Children in the Early Years, Primary (Key Stages 1and 2) and Secondary School Key Stage 3 follow the National Curriculum of England and Wales, supplemented with the Cambridge Primary and Secondary 1 Curriculum for the core subjects English, Maths and Science. Our curriculum is adapted to meet the needs of our international student body. Students in Years 10 and 11 (Key Stage 3) follow the Cambridge IGCSE programme. From 2017 our Year 12 and 13 (Key Stage 5) students will follow the International Baccalaureate programme of study in preparation for entry to university.

ISB is authorised by the Romanian Ministry of Education. ISB was first registered by the University of Cambridge as a 'Cambridge International Centre' in 2001. Our school is accredited by the Council of International School (CIS) and an associate member of COBIS. Over 700 students from over 40 countries currently attend our school. Our students learn in a multicultural community where each person is respected regardless of nationality, race, or religion. ISB is committed to excellence; our goal is to provide the students with the best possible programme of academic and personal development in a challenging and supportive environment.
